Learn savvy

We are changing the way young people perceive themselves, success, and education.

Why?

Young people are taking calming pills before exams. They can't sleep. They have panic attacks. Anxiety. They go to psychotherapy. They develop Alzheimer's at an early age. They lose self-confidence. In their free time, they feel guilty.

Children in the 5th grade already think they've ruined their lives if their final grade average at the end of eighth grade isn’t A. They cry if they get a B. One in four students feels anxiety about school. Parents then pay for tutoring in three subjects.

But no one (!) teaches them how to manage their learning, motivation, and stress.

Learn Savvy was created as a response.

Because while we wait for reforms that may never come, we can do something now. The education system should be a place where we grow. We make mistakes. We become better. Not anxiety factories. We believe that success begins with the right tools for learning and personal growth.

Our mission is to empower young people, parents, and teachers with practical strategies that make the learning process simpler, more efficient, and more meaningful. Our vision is to create a generation that learns with ease, develops positive habits and self-confidence, and achieves great goals in all areas of life.

We do this by teaching young people skills in learning, habit management, motivation, time, and goal-setting.

When Brodoto conducted a survey in secondary schools across Croatia, the results surprised me. As many as 97% of schools singled out “learning how to learn” as the most important skill for their students. Learning how to learn! That’s my passion! I could write a whole book about it. In fact, if I could choose what to do for the rest of my life—I would just learn.I

have two university degrees behind me (History, Croatology, and journalism) and ten years of volunteering with young people through Brodoto. Working in schools showed me the limitations of the system, which I didn’t like, so instead of building a teaching career, I built a quite successful career as an business consultant and a (self-taught!) financial advisor for Croatia’s largest corporations.

After the birth of my daughter, I longed for a calmer life and a return to working with young people, and that’s when the idea for Learn Savvy was born. It is a combination of everything I have learned and done: academic knowledge, experience in the business world, and methods that helped me survive one of the most stressful jobs - consulting - where you constantly have to learn and function under pressure, with high expectations and tight deadlines.

I know my own education would have been far easier if I had had back then the knowledge and tools that I share here.

Branimir Radaković
Founder & project manager

I am currently the CEO at Brodoto, and I have over ten years of experience in non-formal education through working with various organizations, Erasmus+ projects, the Crowdfunding Academy, and workshops for children and young people.

I have led more than ten international training sessions and youth exchanges, as well as workshops for youth workers. I've trained over 200 teams on crowdfunding strategies and introduced topics like blockchain and artificial intelligence in elementary schools.

As a Master of Education in History and Geography, I combine methodological skills with innovative content to make education relevant, engaging, and focused on real-world needs.

Brodoto

Brodoto was founded in Zagreb in 2006 from a simple idea – to create the changes we want to see around us. From the beginning, we've believed more in practice and creativity than in dry theory. We successfully tackle areas that schools or the state often overlook – social entrepreneurship, alternative financing, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and now, learning techniques.

Through non-formal education and Erasmus+ projects, we teach young people how to develop entrepreneurial and digital skills, launch their own ideas, and connect with peers from all over Europe. In November 2024, we launched Learn Savvy workshops to show students, parents, and teachers that learning doesn't have to be stressful, but rather a skill that can be mastered and applied throughout life.

So far, we've introduced children and young people to blockchain, artificial intelligence, robotics, web design, and cybersecurity. Through crowdfunding workshops in schools, we’ve helped them raise funds for equipment, activities, and space renovations. Generations of students have joined our tours led by homeless individuals, Invisible Zagreb. We do all this because we believe that change is built through knowledge, creativity, and the courage to try things differently.

Our goal is simple – to empower young people to know how to create and change the world around them.
